Welcome Message
Hello and a warm welcome to all the parents in the TIS community!

On behalf of the TIS PA Committee 2018/2019, I would like to thank the Committee of 2017/2018 for their valuable contributions over the past year. I would also like to express my sincere thanks to Mr. Ian Temple, our Campus Principal, all our wonderful teachers and parents for their continued support.

The Parents’ Association is a close partner of the school. All TIS parents and guardians are members of the Parents Association and the ‘committee’ is a group of elected parents who come together and work as a channel and serve as a platform to provide a two-way communication between the school and the parents.

It is indeed an honour and privilege for me to be working together with such a capable team, comprising parents from early years, primary and secondary. As such, the PA's collaborative effort to connect students, teachers and parents will allow the school to continuously improve, and build on Tenby's unique culture and spirit. Our multi-talented, energetic team has already hit the ground running, with meetings abuzz with animated discussions and an abundant flow of creative ideas. We all share the same goal - to make the school a great place for our children, teachers and staff.

Throughout the school year, the team works on many events. We support our children on Senior Sports Day by organising pre paid packed lunches and drinks. For some school events, like our MADD productions, we are there to help co-ordinate meals. We conduct very informative Coffee Mornings where we have guest speakers who share their expertise on the many topics relevant to the school community. After an overwhelming success of our Christmas Bazaar year on year, plans for yet another joyous Christmas Bazaar is already full steam ahead, so watch out for it on our social media!

As Tenby SEP celebrates it's 10th Year anniversary, there will be special events that will mark this important milestone. It is going to be a busy year for the PA, but I am looking forward to sharing further exciting announcements in due course. Watch this space!
Parents, grandparents and guardians, your support, is crucial for the continued success of the Parents’ Associations. Opportunities to volunteer are plentiful and we encourage you to look out for them. Share your experiences and talents, however big or small, so that the Tenby SEP community may benefit from it. With your participation and collaboration, we look forward to this academic year being one with wonderful, happy experiences for all.

AWORD FROM WAI YEE
On behalf of the Sekolah Sri Tenby Parents’ Association (SST PA), I would like to extend a warm welcome to our students and their families to the 2019 school year. This year indeed is an extremely exciting and special year for us, as Tenby Schools SEP celebrate their 10th birthday, and to top that, we were awarded in Dec 2018 the prestigious Green Flag by WWF Malaysia (national operator of The Eco-Schools Programme) recognising us

Welcome Message
as a true Eco-School! The Green Flag Award is an internationally recognised and respected eco-label of high performance for schools with the best environmental education and management practices. So, looking ahead there are lots being planned out for this year. So stay tuned!
The PA plays a significant role in promoting community spirit at Tenby and acts as the conduit for collaboration and communication between the parent body and the school.
-
We aim to enhance the school experience for families by facilitating communication among parents, principals, teachers/staff, promoting active volunteer participation, and supporting activities that foster community spirit.
-
We manage the responsibilities of the parent association on behalf of all the parents.
-
We encourage closer links between home and school.
-
We are a parent-run volunteer organisation, which is a welcoming and inclusive organisation for all parents whose children attend SST. Every parent is a member and encouraged to participate in its myriad activities and opportunities.
Parents like you are vital to the continued success of the PA. We know that all of our parents are busy with the demands of everyday life, but we also know that even a small contribution of your time and energy can significantly contribute to our efforts to foster a vibrant and nurturing community. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet other parents and get involved in the life of the school. Meanwhile, we are committed to update the community frequently through our various communication channels i.e., weekly newsletters, PA Facebooks, Year Group Chats & ‘TV Connect’ and urge that you participate in our events and attend our parent forums/meetings to be introduced to the individual sub-committees that carry out the work and mission of the PA.
We look forward to getting you on board, and that your experience at Tenby SEP is enriching and rewarding.
